How does bidding work?
You post a job and set a budget, or leave it open. Verified local workers reply with a price, a start time and a short message. You compare the bids and accept the one you prefer. Only that worker gets the job.
Does it cost anything?
No. Fettle is free for neighbours and workers while we launch in Dundee. There is no commission and no subscription. You agree the price with your worker and pay them directly.
How are workers checked?
Every worker is ID checked by our team before they can bid. Insurance and trade credentials, such as Gas Safe for gas work or SELECT for electrical work, are checked and shown as badges on their profile.
What if the job is not done properly?
Do not confirm the job. Raise a problem instead, and a member of the Fettle admin team will read both sides and decide what happens next, including whether a review stays up.
Which areas do you cover?
Dundee only for now: postcodes DD1 to DD5. That keeps every worker close by and every review local. If your postcode is outside that area, we will tell you when we reach you.
What kinds of job can I post?
